We believe in doing good by giving back to ALL communities.

Pastry of the Quarter: Pomegranate Molasses Cookie

Every 3 months, Hearth & Hug Bakery will feature a special, “Charity of the Month” pastry. 10% of the sales of that pastry will be donated to a charity or organization that fights for what we believe in. See below for the organization and pastry being featured!

Charity of the Quarter : Elizabeth Peabody House

The Elizabeth Peabody House is an organization based in Somerville, MA. Their goal is to assist Somerville’s youth, immigrants, and families with enrichment, early education assistance, and food security. The Elizabeth Peabody House offers preschool and childcare services, as well as after school programs geared towards helping kids stay engaged in school and free time activities. EPH also runs a small food pantry that partners with larger organizations in the Boston area to keep food staples well stocked for the community.

H&H wants to help those affected by the lapse of SNAP benefits:

We at Hearth & Hug are aware of how the government shutdown and subsequent pause in SNAP benefits is already affecting folks throughout the country. Thanks to some generous customers who contributed to our NuMarket Campaign over the summer, H&H Bakery has a reserve of credits that we can use to help feed our community during this difficult time. Until SNAP benefits are reinstated, any customer who shows a SNAP ID card will receive any meal/drinks/menu items totaling up to $15 (before tax) free of charge. Customers must show a SNAP ID card (with no other questions asked), and can utilize this benefit once per visit.
